Hi! My name is Taya :)
I came to California from Russia and I brought a wide range of knowledge of Russian traditional midwifery. I am a mother of three incredible girls and a step mother of an amazing son. Each of our children is a precious teacher of mine. I enjoy witnessing their life-adventures.
I run my birth doula practice for more than two years. I had a strong call to come to the profession long before I started my certification program with DONA. Giving birth to my children, as well as my friends' and relatives' experiences inspired me very much.
I grew to believe that if you wish a natural (unmedicated) birth, it needs preparation. But most importantly, you need to determine your core values which eventually would drive all decisions during the delivery.
I consider my education to be a never-ending process. There is always something to learn about this transformative process of bringing a new life into this world. I do love to learn from people who stay very much connected to traditional cultures: Russian, Mexican, Guatemalan.
I deeply love Nature and herbs and love to include these incredible resources into my practice.
I love dancing, singing Russian traditional songs and creating beautiful hand-made things. Art is my passion.
